Polyurethane Foam
Abbfoam is supplied in convenient hand-held aerosol form 750ml, and also gun grade aerosol in the same volume.

Application
For sealing of cavities and openings. Used for the sealing of post sockets to safety fencing posts.

Description
Abbfoam is a self-expanding ready to use polyurethane foam supplied in aerosol can form which has excellent adhesion to most materials.

 

 

Technical Data
Shelf Life 9 to 12 months, according to the type, in unopended packaging in a cool, dry storage place.

  • Consistency: Stable Foam
  • Curing System: Moisture Cure
  • Skin Formation: 10 min at 20 deg C 65 % R.H
  • Drying Time: dustfree after 20-25 min
  • Curing Rate: 3 h for a 5 cm bead
  • Foam Yield: 1000 ml yields 35-40 1itres foam
  • Shrinkage: none
  • Postexpansion: none
  • Cellular Structure: ca 80 % closed cells
  • Specific Gravity: 21-25 kg/m3 (extruded)
  • Temperature Resistance:- 40 deg C until + 100¸ C (cured)
  • Character of Foam: tixotropic, does not slump
  • Fire Class: B2- B3 (DIN 4102 part 2)
  • Isolation Factor: 0.032 Kcal/m.h.deg C (lambda)
  • Maximum tension: ca 15 N/cm2
  • Vapourpermeability: 70 g/m2/24 h (DIN 53429)
  • Water absorbation: 0.4% Vol. (DIN 53429)



Application Procedure
Aerosol can is to be shook thoroughly before use and foam is applied using the hand-held nozzle facility. Application temperatures range from +5 deg C up to +30 deg C. Moistening surfaces prior to application will improve the adhesion, curing and cellular structure.
